Patience wins out this time! Picked up a nice pretty much brand new EVH 5150III today in trade for my 09 Splawn Nitro. Amp was only purchased about 4 months ago. Came with everything still in the box including warranty card, manual and the receipt. Pretty stoked on this! I missed my old 5153 a lot and regretted getting rid of it almost instantly after I did. This one will have to be pried from my cold dead hands before it leaves me! Can't wait to hear the sonic difference once I start laying down some tracks.

Just fired it up for the first time and it sounds KILLER! I had my old one go through a pair of Mesa cabs prior. This sounds way better!

I've had all kinds of amps... 5150s and 6505s, Marshall JVM, Framus Cobra, VHT Ultra Lead, Splawn Nitro, EVH 5153 and a few heavily modded Jet City JCA100s... Nothing seems to top the tone of the 5153 to me. I'd still LOVE to try a Revv Generator, some sort of Diezel and a KSR Colossus to see what they are all about, but I don't think this 5153 will ever go anywhere now.
