I waited 10 long months for this amp...

I ordered it moments after it was announced...

I was number #2 in line at one of the largest Marshall dealers in the USA to get one

I thought about this amp often during the long wait and had many a wet dream over this beast whilst wating for this day to finally arrive

After playing it for about 15 min tonight after Fedex dropped her off I knew that this amp was NOT FOR ME AT ALL EVAR!!!

It is very impressive and comes with alot of cool stuff and it weighs a TON and is thick like the old 200 watt Marshall Majors from the early 70's...

But I ain't digging it and thats the way it goes as this amp is all classic Marshall 70's and 80's tones.

But ya behold!!!

I was hoping it did some modern tones too...

A Marshall Plexi style amp that doesn't do modern metal tones?

Really? You can't be serious. :lame:

Well, at least your honest..
Cant say how many threads start with "the greatest ever" only to be for sale a week later
Should not have any problem flipping it, stick it up on the Marshall forum too
Wee wee Malmsteen

Mojo sent.

Well congrats on the NAD nonetheless! At least the wait is over.

I'm sympathize with your disappointment.
I've had a similar experience with a rig that consisted of a Gretsch Country Gentleman and a Fender Twin. Imagine my shock and dispair when I couldn't get a good Celtic Frost tone out of it...

I do like the classic tones in this the amp but not for the price or the hype...

I don't just use only metal tones I use my JVM and my Tele on the low gain channel all the time and I also have a Peavey Delta blues 1x15 combo that just kicks ass...

But for the "know it all" people who make inflamatory posts like Sadronald this amp was supposed to have more gain than the JVM as stated in threads by people on the Marshall forum who had interactions with the actual builder... It does not even come close to that.

In fact this amp is a waste of time and money as you could just by a plexi RI used with a true bypass loop for around a GRAND and put a freaking OD pedal in front of it or have someone really cool like JERRYP mod it for way less and get 10x the mojo this amp has...

Seriously IMO this is amp does not make sense to me as you don't need to spend 2500 get this end result unless you are just nuts over Yngwie...

If the amp isn't for you, that's cool, but to bash it after spending a few minutes with it isn't warranted.
You dimed the Volume and the booster? That's not enough gain?
Most of these modded Marshall are all Preamp tube gain. Different animal. Not as clear, covers mistakes, etc.
The JVM is a differnt amp. All preamp gain.

IMO, the amp isn't just for Yngwie nuts. It's for anybody that wants a '72 metal panel Marshall tone w/ kickass extra features.

I appreciate your post, but I spent the money and I waited 10 months to get it and I read alot of the hype and watched every single video including that one 20x over the past 10 months...

So ya I'm more than entitled to decide if the amp is worth it or not I'd say.

Also after owning every amp across 25 years of playing 10x over, I can tell if an amp has it or not for my personal in under 15 min flat...

I have never bought an amp that I did not like in the first 15 min that I magicly loved a week later in my entire life.

Actually for me and most it is the exact opposite... Total Love, then honeymoon OVER!

Not to mention there was a thread just posted a few days ago about buying and amp and "From the moment you flicked the switch you know it was not for you"... like 50 people posted about having my same experience!

HAHAHA DUDE! No more Marshall's for you. You're a JVM guy and that's it!

I should have mine sometime next month. I'll open up that Biatch and see what I think.

WTF??

You got hosed by listening to n00bs bro as none of us heard it was going to have more gain than a JVM   You need to hang here for the straight info

I will disagree with you about the reissue plexi and a pedal though, the cool thing about this amp is that one box covers it all, no attenuater, verb pedal, line out box, boost pedal..............it is all in one box

I would have loved to hear some trash from you on this
