How would you compare this to your Wizard? Your video of that amp has me selling off stuff I didn't think I ever would. THAT is serious tone.

Hey,
How would you compare your yjm100 so far to the wildwood smallbox? Also if you have tried the regular smallbox, is the wildwood worth the upgrade? Thanks

Totally different worlds I guess.
The wildwood is a really amazing channel switcher with 3 channels.

The regular Smallbox is IN the wildwood, same thing. The wildwood just has the extra gain channel.

The YJM is way more vintage flavored, whereas the Friedman is way more hot rodded.

So would you say that the Wildwood might be comparable to a BE100? I really dig my Smallbox, but I dug my friend's BE a bit more. Wonder if I can send the SB in and have Dave give it the WW mod?

The Mullet Marshall - business in the front - party in the back!

Well, of course they are comparable. The 3rd channel here is reminiscent of the BE. But if you like the BE, get that.
This one is more raw and angry to my ears.

Gotchya. Thanks.

I'm tired of the gear merry-go-round and want to stop buying gear at some point... and start sinking my money into a nice car. I'm 48 years old and have never had a nice car (or a new one), and I want something for the driving experience. Had been thinking Beemer or Audi... but lately I've been thinking something more go-kart like to hammer on the twisty Montana mountain roads. Mini Coopers and the new Mazda Miatas have my current attention. At any rate... once the new car comes, gear money will be dried-up. So it's best if I get myself in a comfortable spot before that happens. Smallbox is pretty comfortable, but there was something about that BE that I really dug. The BE-owning friend also has a Dirty Shirley at home that he wants me to play with. It'll have to be pretty sweet to unseat the BE though.

I have heard people say some things about that amp, but I have played one and really, really wanted one. The store had a YJM strat, but I didn't bother trying it. I just picked up an Ibanez and went to town. Great, juicy midrange and a nice low end. All the features work great. It's definitely not just an amp for Yngwie fans or strats. It really rocks, and unlike the plexis Yngwie shattered glass with, you can actually get a nice tone at lower volumes. Awesome score.

I can't see vid, is it private? I wish my best shitty playing was a third as good as your shitty stuff!

What 'mode' did you like about the BE100? BE or HBE? With SAT on or off?

Great demo, Rezamatix! That amp sounds great!

Haha, I've actually been feeling the same way; never owned a half way nice car and at almost 50, yeah I'm thinking it's time.

wow that sounds awesome. For what I like in an amp that is one of my favorite clips of anything I've ever heard Nice score and thanks for the GAS

Wow, That is a great sounding Marshall !

Had no idea these sounded so good, now I have gas !

Dude,
I think you need to make this amp your new go to for your next gig. I think it sounds awesome and really covers a lot of ground very well. I was diggin some of that kinda eerie delayed clean tones there, and the boosted stuff sounds just as good. I am pleasantly surprised at how nice this amp sounds and how well it does at with different sounds. FX in the loop sound great. And dude, there is some very cool off the cuff playin going on here. Great man. Just great!!

yep, very nice demo
did you add gain pedals along the way?
