Sounds great. Way better than Satch sounded.

But wait.

Can't the AssFX get that same tone???

Great playing and tone all around.

I was finally able to listen to the clip. Sounds great! It's got that crisp tight feel that the Mark V lacked.

Once i get my Fotin I'll have to have a long term savings goal for a IIC+. With Boogies release of the Mark V, it's only increased my GAS for a Mark IIC+

YUCK. Why that when you can pickup a real nice hardwood headshell from GTS on the Boogie forum for cheaper.

When 220$ is cheaper than 99$, I`ll do it, pom pom pom ;)
Nah, I don`t really care for the looks of an amp, I don`t look at it, I play it.
And the added bonus of being able to protect the amp inside of a rack case is worth gold for me :)

i like the way the rack mount looks imho.

doesnt ding as easy as wood and also rack mounts have faceplate covers. even protects against dust =]

ive always loved the IIC+, just one of those instances where boogie got it right.

Your clips are always sounding good and your playing as well......very nice....

Very Sweet! The only amp I actually would add to my collection at this time. Great score for you, congrats!

thanks guys! I definitely fell I made the right switch. Many more clips to come. I fell inspired to play the guitar again ( like with my old IV). With the V I fought channel 3 for a great lead tone which should be the hallmark of the Mark series.

I ordered a headshell from GTS over at the Boogie Board about two weeks ago. Looking forward to it.

Great clip.

Thanks Adam! Your IIC+ You Tube clips were part of the reason I took the dive.

Excellent snag man...looking forward to lotsa great IIC+ clips!

Thanks! Working on backing tracks for a couple of heavier clips as we speak.

Sounds great. What was the recording chain?

Dave

EBMM Petrucci -> Mark IIC+ -> Bogner OS 2x12 -> Sennheiser e608 & Shure 57 -> M-Audio Mobile Pre USB -> nTrack 6. That's it!

Digital Jams":3mfu0inc said:
Sounds great, much more open than your MK V clips imo and more pick response

Thanks Scott! I agree on your observations. This amp also has the smoothness of the IV yet more aggressive and throaty. The high end is more harmonically complex than the V as well. I definitely made a good switch. Glad I never tried a Fortin. I don't know what I am missing. The IIC+ will go no where. I am trying to go the route of a cheap, used JCM 800 for a Cali Mod Fortin. I have time though. It will be fun to have my beloved Boogie tone and a killer modded Marshall.

Sounds great man. The IIC+ has the best lead tone by far of all the Boogies IMO. It's the one amp I really wish I held onto.

Thanks Jason! Hopefully you can pick one up again. love your clips and would love to hear what you could do with it.

Great clip and tone! Thanks for sharing  Looking forward to hearing more

Thanks and you will see plenty more come from me.

crwnedblasphemy":3mfu0inc said:
Excellent Excellent tones there! Loved it!

Thanks! If you ever get a chance to try a Mark series amp give this one a try. I know you are a Splawn guy but I really think you would like this. The best of Mark series tone with a much more easy interface.

How high was the master?

Thanks! His tone is all over the board but I love his playing and sense of melody.

You should. You strike me as someone that needs to have one of each (Mesa Mark and Marshall). I owe a good portion of getting the IIC+ to you. Thanks!

No probs at all......hope they add to your tonal experience......I'm loving my JP6 loaded with mine thru the axefx....I may even bust out some clips soon.....

Oh yeah and as for heavy clips.....I think you did this Mark IV Disturbed clip a while back that just had "the tone".....it was monsterous...

I'm curious as to how you'd compare the C+ to the Mark IV, especially since you seemed to have really liked the IV.

I've still got my IV/open back/Thiele mini stack and I'm still very happy with it...but I think I just have to take the C+ plunge some day.

Jason

the clips sounds great, i love the tone.
playing is excellent as usual and i like the tone better than the mkv you had.
