Well, after years and years of GASing for a Dual Rectifier I finally pulled the trigger. Its WAYY overkill for me and honnestly is probably too much amp for my needs, but what the hell?

I had a mini recto prior to the dual and while the mini recto sounded really good, its not quite as good as the dual recto IMHO. I know Mesa claims that its the exact same preamp, but the 6L6's really give it a different sound to my ears. Even running through my TNTL the dual recto sounds different vs the mini. Not bashing the mini here, I still think its a great amp.

In any case, Im really pleased with the amp. I read several reviews saying that the 3 channel rectos are a bit buzzy, but I havent found that to be the case. Anyway, here are some pics....

I like the black face grill. I just got a used Single Rec. Love it.

I hear ya, man. I like the Mini better for the reason you like the Dual better; the power sections appeal to different people for different reasons. Awesome amp though!! The black diamond plate is sexy.

That is beautiful!

Have always loved the blacked out look on a Recto

Nice looking amp man. Ya know, I have never played a Recto. Well I played a mini rectifier in a music store for like 5 minutes but that doesn't count. I've never cranked one. I think I really need to sometime soon.

I don't know if it's just my Reborn but the Output control has a smoother, more gradual rise in volume compared to earlier versions.

I actually find it very easy to control the volume of a Triple Reborn.  :)

yes - either using the loop for master or not, can play at reasonable levels and still sounds good

That sounds killer! Reminds me of why I love my Triple so much! Huge.
