Thanks to @frontline205 for selling me this and doing all the legwork with MikeB for one of the last ++ mods he'll ever do for Mesa.

LTD EC-1000 w/ Lollar Imperials, Boss Waza TAE as attenuator/DI, and then York Audio FDMN 412 M25-V30 IR. Still very much trying to figure out this amp...so open to any/all suggestions on settings to try out.

Tweaked settings a little and switched to DynIRs (Friedman V30 4x12 & Supro Alnico Cream 2x12)

Congrats on a cool amp!

personally i like the 6600 lower and presence at 3 for starters
Wait, 3/10 or 3 o'clock. In the clip I have it maxed, which is definitely too much, but 3/10 sounds way too low and blanketed.

This thing seems to punch as much as my Wizards and GZA.

Congrats . I love mine . 3++ greenie . Jus a fun amp

i gravitate towards warmer fatter lead tone. 3/10 is my starting point where the presence becomes apparent and i vary from there. my Tyler is pretty upper mid bright too.

if you start there when you first start playing for the day you can gradually work up to speed balancing with the 44/66k sliders without smoking your hearing with ear fatigue right off the bat.

i’ve noticed that different mark IIIs i’ve played vary quite a bit in the response of the presence and geq controls.

most important is to have fun!

Very Krispy
Love the GEQ on Marks
They can take your head off quickly with an angled cab. Wouldn't mind picking another up.

Glad it went to a good home. Those old school marks are something else and the early black stripe did benefit from the gain boost

Recently got the DynIR plugin so was trying out some new IRs (Friedman V30 4x12 & Supro Alnico Cream 2x12). Slightly tweaked settings from the first clip.

Still some grainy-ness on the low end when chugging that I need to figure out with IRs...
