NAD: Mesa Recto Rev C

Guys who have had Mesa perform a Rev C conversion: do you know what components were changed? I'm wondering if it's just a matter of using smaller coupling caps here or there to reduce the bass coming through the preamp or if there's more going on.

Badass amp! I have my rev G tremoverb and love it. I would love to try a rev C or rev F.

I think what Mesa would do is similar to what I linked, I summarized the thread that was on the boogie board and here as well

Definetly wasn't the coupling caps, played with the values and it made the amp super thin, lots of trial and error but it was all worth it, thanks to the other forumites that helped along the way :D

I miss my C. Had it for over 20 years before I sold it. Got it new from Boogie. Was a monster of an amp! The C is definitely special for sure!
Enjoy in good health!!

That's very cool! If I'm understanding the schematics correctly, I think a lot of the resistors you jumped are already essentially jumped by LDRs when in the orange clean mode, but maybe the LDR itself is having an effect? Is that the change that gives a better clean but darker sound, these LDRs?

EDIT: I'm obviously no electronics guru. LDRs I think do always exhibit some resistance, so maybe their presence is the explanation for the tone difference.

And your C55 value matches with the Rev F schematic.

Congrats on the New Amp. I Really want to get a Rackto Again when i have some more money.

Right, the LDR's still exhibit enough resistance to affect the tone, I forgot how much though since I lost all my notes in an HDD crash.

I could never go back to the stock configuration   :D
