I am getting really confused by the members here. First we bash then we buy?

I got mine used for cheap. I paid for a headshell and control faceplates. Delivered both in less than a week.
 
Like him or not. Dude stepped his game up and is a solid contender. I know he rattles some people's cages. But if you played one. You would understand. ;)

:lol: :LOL: Nor would I. Used amps are fair game...but I'd have to put a new faceplate as well as a new headshell. Then, I'd fake a Cameron signature on the chassis, and advertise it as a Cameron Jose..or Aldrich..or maybe a Fortin Bones? And fake Mikes signature? Amp does look a lot better though.

now...all shit aside...having read the EVH lbx thread this morning viewtopic.php?f=3&t=178132 I agree with the OP. the LBX is an awesome sounding amp, but really fucking loud, and too sensitive for getting good tone w/o being too loud.

if z'bladez can bring in a head that'll do the tone i heard in the 22w (dirty Steve) clippage...at low, low...like my wife is sleeping next room over volume, and if i wake her, hell hath no fury kinda stuff...then yep. for me,,, that would be the shit.
 
I've stayed out of the whole Blades drama except to comment that I think the amps and cabs look like mediocre DIY projects. I have to ask at this point: What is his background, if any, in Electronics Engineering or any field that pertains to the design and manufacturing of guitar amplifiers?

I've never seen any reference to this in any of the many threads I've read. My point is: If he has no "academic" background in this area, why would anyone ever spend a dime on one of his amps? I understand that a few people like the way the amps sound. That's fair. In fact, I have no criticism of what I've heard in the way of clips. But his amps are high dollar amps. Why not just go with a legitimate builder?

This has confused me most of all.

Don't see how anything has changed since he's still ranting and raving while insulting legitimate builders and designers. Only thing that seems to have changed is that a few people here...a few...are pimping Blades for some reason. Free stuff maybe? Discounts? Who knows. His amps are the same as they've been, except now there's a Fortin ripoff. After he realized he needs someone who can solder :lol: :LOL: he has products that are at least probably reliable.
But I don't see how his 'game' has changed. Still a ranting lunatic. But again, buy/spend money on whatever you want.
