Grabbed a 78 2203 and an '81 1935A bass cab. I've heard to stay away from the bass cone 65s. Whatever..don't believe it. No mud here..speaker code is 3101, so definitely the bass cone. Sounds like my other cab with lead cones to me!

Great amp! Opened it up to see if it's stock?
Looks to be in good shape.

It has a replacement OT, has a white sticker that says 'JMP 100' and '2000' underneath, assuming thats the year it went in. The circuit looks pretty stock, mustards and some orange drops(?) In their as well. I'm not a tech but I compared the pics I took to others I've seen on the web. Tried to upload them yesterday and they wouldnt. I threw some tungsram pres and Siemens/winged Cs in there..all 4 bias up right around 36. That's as high as I can get them though. Its very fat and warm sounding. I like this better than any other JMP/JCM master vol I've had. OT brings the value down but it sounds great...right now I'm not sure which sounds better, Jubilee or JMP!

Very nice! Well done! looks like you have another nice setup beside it as well!

Thanks! Yeah I still have the bass head, but I might send it out for a mod. My bass player wants it though, so we'll see. I got this for a reasonable price..1K. Replacement OT ....but it sounds awesome. Gonna play a festival a week from today..both Marshalls and 3 cabs...should be loud and fun! If any of you come across the bass cone 65s, don't pass on them...they sound just as nice as my lead cones in my 79. These celestion are from 81.
