Clean metroplex superlead. Going to be headed to Matt/ @glpg80 for mods when he's ready!

It's got a PPIMV and sounds great for clean and crunch, although I've never been enamored with cranked/brown superlead sounds.

Especially when boosted by this though, it's doable to tide me over 😜

I have good ideas once in a while, and the crunch box/light speed combo was one of my good ideas. Basically no matter what amp I'm running as backline I can tighten the low end for rhythm with the LS side or thicken up the single notes with the crunch box side. It's honestly one of those pedals where if people tried it they would shit their pants.

Thanks, it's not really my jam.... yet lol

Matt has plans to make it a far more "Dan" sounding amp in the future

Stock plexis are just too wooly and spitty cranked to get the type of gain structure I prefer normally
 
This is just a medium gain sample clip of what’s to come. iPhone’s clipping like a mofo but the top end grinds as hard as it hits in the low end. Be sure the quality is set to 1080pHD.

Cranked superleads sound badass with single coils or humbuckers and a set of greenbacks in a good 4x12 cab.

Yeah I have a marshall 2x12 with scumbacks that is definitely "the sound"

It's not really "my" sound though it's too loose

I'm excited man!

I am reminded of how much I love plexi gain from 5 to 7 on the volume and how much I hate them from 8-10 🤣

It's just a farty mess to me

I'm sure if I only played leads or blues or something it'd be great

Nice! I almost got one myself when he came out with the 786, but went for the slightly upgraded 789 instead, so no blue boot on mine. :(

I often set gain 1 to zero and turn up gain 2 for a clearer gain character. The more aggressive gain 1 gets the meaner and nastier it gets along with way more body and bottom end. A donor patient has been found and you’re going to get an amp that will forever set a new bar :rock:

I didn’t want a bulky handheld and prefer the smaller 235. They’ve all been rock solid. I grabbed so many so I can monitor current, voltage, and temperature of various projects - rather many than one excellent super accurate one. If I accidentally cook one then it’s no big deal just order another.
