NAD - Randall Warhead X2

BY FAR the best SS amp I've plugged into, they should've NEVER killed the X2, the thing is a MONSTER!!!!! can nail pretty much all those old Dime tones, and SO much more..... I should've bought one of these a LONG time ago. AWESOME, AWESOME, amp.

I'll do what the Dime amp does, but they still have abit of different character, the Dime amp will stay. nope not Martins...

If you like Dimes tones, THIS is the amp to get, thing is VERY impressive.

and yes, LIGHT YEARS better than the original.... although dialed in right the original had some cool tones in it, just not really those "Dime tones".

I like the Dean Dime amp as well. Been getting some good rock tones out of it the last few weeks.


I know the X2's are pretty scarce.

i played one of those x2 heads at a sam ash back when i was in high school ....

nailed dime tone spot on, i had a smile on all day after that

i will NEVER sell my x2 head. it's special, much like me. mom said i was a special boy, that's why i rode the special bus.

i now have the matching cabs to go with the x2 head, but am having ohm issues. gonna have to re-wire the 4x12 to bring it to 16 ohms, or re-speaker it to bring it to 8 ohms. the 2x15 is an 8 ohm cab. or i'll dump the cabs on juggernaut....but he is gonna have to come big for them.

The Dime amp is great, for the cash you can't beat it, pretty much a clone of the RG100ES/HT, can nail the early Dime tones easily.

How would you compare the original war head to the X2? I have two places that have both version war head, and I Want to know which might be better in the long run. They are both the same price.
