Up front, in your face brutal and yet musical in every stage of the gain mix. I'm impressed, now if my emg's were not so compressed to begin with this might be THE amp for me. could it be time to go................dare I say it.........passive. It is surely the end of times.
Dude.....was a EMG loyal user for over 15 years. Switched over to Passive (Duncan JB after going thru a TON of them) ..
Still getting the Brootz.
Not going back.

You can go passive but still be aggressive. Nice Clips Alex! The Rhodes sounds like a modded Marshall Mesa hybrid.

Are those greenbacks in the evh cab?

Not sure. Aren't they EVH branded?

I actually think it sounds phenomenal with that cab. By far my favorite clip of this amp that i have heard.

From the first few notes, I can't recall a time when I've heard a better sounding amplifier via a YT clip.

Its just a killer amp so excited for My Gemini in a few months.

I love the tones ,for a channel switcher there are not a lot out there that are more well rounded IMO.
The Rhodes can do blues ,country ,Hard rock and obviously metal with ease.

The Colossus I played through my Weber Legacy(greenback) cab sounded great .it kills with V30 and Lynchbacks.
Just a great all round tone machine with tons of smart features and programable modes.

What I find so interesting is everyone has a different take on what they think it sounds like From Mesa Mk ,Recto ,To 5150 ,some VHT
some guys say Modded Marshall and although its far from a marshall .you can actually IMO cop certain elements of a high gain British amp like the upper mid bite

I think the Rhodes line is a great amp for a lot of players
