My new to me Splawn ProMod arrived today. Looks like the previous owner has already converted it to EL34s. They also pulled all of the tolex off. So I'll be ordering a new headshell soon. Can any of you guys help me to identify what year this amp was made? Serial is PM105205. Thanks for the help!

Here's a quick video pf the amp. Pardon the sloppy playing. I haven't touched a guitar in two weeks. Clip is 2nd Gear and mostly OD-1.

You should call Scott and ask. He's very forthcoming!

This , Scott is very cool will have all the info on the amp once you give him the serial # . Damn cool amp , I think that bare headshell looks cool

According to the info on the Splawn site, it's a 2005 model.

Ok. Finally got to plug it in. With my Charvel loaded with a Duncan PATB-1 it is instant George Lynch Tone on 2nd Gear OD-1. Talk about putting a smile on my face. The clean channel is pretty usless on the 2005 model, but let's be honest, I bought this thing for the gain channel. Think Lynch's tone on LM's Slow Drag. I so have that nailed right now. Now I just need to decide between a standard black Plexi look or go Purple Plexi look? Hmmm...

Go purple

Just get it recovered. I got mine done for under $200, new head shell was like $400!

Cool, + shipping? I was quoted like $350 + $40 or so to ship.

With shipping it will be $250. I look at it this way... I just ordered a complete she'll that will allow me to drop the amp right in and play. I'm sure that I could find someone here to recover it, but I wanted to change the look of the shell anyway.

I've been playing my EVH Stealth head since before Christmas but plugged into my old '06 QR last week and now I'm torn on what to take to the next show. There's a reason I've been through so many amps and the Splawn has always stayed. No the right hands these amps are magnificent!
