got this in the mail today!

family shot with the JCM600 and Framus CS

now all i need is 6L6 small combo to round out the food groups. ...maybe something with KTs...too haha

just finished scrolling through the stock presets...im surprised at how many santana,pink floyd,AC/DC, incubus, van halen etc licks and riffs i could remeber or work out on the spot haha.
after having tube amps for so long...im not really a can of the clean or mid gain stuff...very stiff and sterile...but the high gain chugga chugga stuff...wow talk about tight low end

im onto playing with my onw presets now...blending 2 high gain amps and chugging on my seven string away.

i will have to do some training in order to qualify into the league of extraordinary djentlemen.

haha!!! first post RE my new vetta is abt the framus, which is my constant amp that will go to the grave with me.
yeah i used to own and gig a cobra stack but i no longer play live or metal all the time.
this is the EL84 CS 30W model that has a voxish clean channel that has the fattest breakup tone (just at stupid loud volumes) the lead chanenl...unique high gain vintage/modern lead channel.
nice smooth lead tones (it was as santana sig model after all) however lacks a bit of balls in the chunk department.
the cab has one v30 and one greeenback...sames as the framus Ruby riot combo (which the CS is the head version)

anways...gonna update to vetta 2 tonight...just gotta untangle my midi cables

there are a lot of good sounds in the vetta.

you should post some from each amp and see who can tell what from what.

i bet a lot of people would be surprised at what they think they know tonewise as opposed to what they hear when they see a shiny nameplate on the face of an amp.

Congrats! I've been pretty happy with the Vetta II, it covers a lot of ground. Two-amps-at-a-time is probably the best feature, IMO. I don't have any presets that just use one amp, or toggle between two amps. If I want just 'one' amp sound, I use the same model, but EQ'd a bit different on each side.

successfully upgraded to version 2.5 (vetta II) specs last night
the process was simple as (via midi and line 6 monkey) however waiting process was scary.

defnitely a noticble improvement over the "feel" of the amp...especially the clean and mid gain tones.
i lost my djent setting which i spent ages dialing in(room sound) and couldnt quite replicate it...BUT got it sounding better for DI recording.

I gigged with one for over a year, great amp. Might want to play with the vetta 'juice' compressor, it added a lot to most of my patches.

I've had my Vetta II for a few years, and have never connected it to the computer. I've thought about the Armin cab upgrade, but have been happy enough with the amp to just leave it be. I'd be afraid to screw something up and brick the amp. I really should back up my favorite presets, though. The only mod I have done (mine is a combo) is to close in the back, for tighter gain and to stop the farting-out that sometimes happened when it is cranked.

I remembered that I did a youtube video of Gary Moore's The Loner a couple of years ago. I've A/B'd the clip with the Moore video, and the tone is pretty close. Not exact, but then again it's one small digital amp, and not a bunch of cranked and boosted Marshalls. The amp models are both the Modern Hi Gn, which is supposed to be based on a Soldano preamp. They are also boosted by the Tube Driver model, with a little delay, reverb, gating, and compression. Cab models are 4x12 GreenBacks. Guitar is a mid-90's ESP MII Deluxe, with EMG 85(b)/81. Those are long gone, and it is now sporting a TB/JB(b)/Pearly Gates.

Obligatory sloppy playing disclaimer: When I recorded this, I was dealing with some serious tendinitis and shoulder problems. At the beginning, you see me flick my wrist - My left hand was tingly from the inflamation in my shoulders. About 1:00 minute in, my hand was numb. I was way under-bending strings in my first take, and tried to compensate in this version, and ended up pushing a lot of them sharp.

And I'm not gonna lie: I'm horrible at copying anything note-for-note. The title is a friendly jab on a user's name from another forum, who wanted to hear me play it.
