Sort of a new amp day. I had a 1959 I traded my JCM800 2203x for a couple years ago - had Roy Blankenship put it back to stock. Apparently someone made it superbass specs. Roy said he could make it work with the Variac like his Variplex - definitely considering getting that done. Anyway - here's a new video kinda running the amp through it's paces. Using guitar > Tubescreamer > 1959 > HO attenuator > Marshall 1960BX. I'm not really a neo classical guy, but this tune kinda came to me - hope I didn't rip it off someone :)

I like the idea of putting that pick holder on your strap, how do you have it attached?

Oh yea, and killer playing, sounds like Flight of the Bumblebee in certain spots....

Nice Darren, I actually like it better that way

I've played the Variplex w/the Variac, and it was really cool...have you checked it out?

great playing, sounds awesome!

any relation to byron stroud? lol

thanks! Oddly enough, I've never been in Roy's shop when he's got a Variplex going - I was thinking of an 18 watter, but I like the Vaiplex idea better I think. did it sound really good even at low volume? How did the sound change at the lower settings?

(Sometimes 9) is awesome, I dig on it

thanks man! Sometimes 9 is more "me" - but this one was fun and challenging - I'm still practing it.

thanks! Pick holder is a sticky - stays on unbelievebly well - I even flip the guitar around my head and I've never had one come off.

It's all about fun  Guitar is awesome - I can be having the worse day I can imagine and 5 minutes on the guitar and it all goes away - that's what it's all about for me

Sounds good Darren. Never cared for the Superbass myself...too muddy. Cool tune too.
