Spent a couple hours with it after work. Ran it through the Splawn 2x12 with SB25's, a Mojotone with WGS Green Berets, and a Marshall 800 with V30/G12H30.

The SB25's and Green Berets sound best.

My initial reaction is that it sounds like a perfect cross between a 5150 and a hot rodded Marshall. Cleans up really well with guitars volume........being a single channel and all.

No need for OD pedal. Running the gain at 11 o' clock (in OD1) provides me enough saturated gain to play my classic metal stuff.

Sounds great at all volumes but best cranked up a hair........even with the loop master.

Gonna' take it to the studio on Saturday and it will be in the company of my Morris Perplex'd, an Orange Thunderverb, a Bogner Shiva, and a boosted JCM800. Maybe I'll drop some clips if it works out.

........unless Scott has tweaked the amp recently. Maybe its the EL34's in this thing. I don't know, but I love it and I just sent a thank you e-mail to Scott and even admitted to him that I wasn't the biggest fan of the other Splawn's I have owned.

I don't expect it to replace my Morris Perplex'd, but it is equally as good..........just different flavors.

I'll put up some clips as soon as I get the time.

congrats man, HNAD! I had a Nitro when they first came out, and just couldn't get it to where I wanted it after months of trying. I decided to try another last year, and there is a difference IMO. I was grinning ear to ear within the first 5 minutes. Something changed, and that's the same opinion a couple friends share after doing the same thing.
