I can honestly say this amp is truly the most incredible amp I have ever owned. My Eggy is all nostalgia as it was one of Bruce's first builds and it is at the top of the heap to me.
But the Poundcake is incredible! Just the right amount of high end and very tweakable mids. German tight, huge blooming clean channel and the 3 dirt channels are able to be tonally different even with shared eq, buy using the gain style switch and mid switch. These amps rival any Diezel or other amp at that price range. I played his first amps in 94 at NAMM when Rocktron distributed them. unt now da meat channel.....my horrible rendition of Bernard. I have a long history with Bernard and Mike Fortin also encouraged him to start building again. I eyeballed this when Steve had it...Kurt got it and now hes missing it. For good reason...these amps are the real deal! I am considering distributing them in the states, so that pretty much sums up my commitment to the line!
I totally agree Jeff, absolutely incredible amplifier!
I find it so ironic And how long it takes for Steavens poundcake amplifiers to sell on here while other big name amplifier sell rather quickly, it is so sad…
Glad you finally got to experience one bro!
Congratulations
