Has anybody tried the Naked OD pedal?
Yay or nay? How is it with a clean channel or as
A boost? Thin or thick, smooth or harsh? I'd like to get one but the clips I've heard are on the blues side,I'm a
Metal freak.

By itself the distortion is fairly light, it's a pretty transparent OD. I remember it being quite smooth and thick, about as "amp-like" as you're going to get from a pedal.

If you're using it to boost your amp it would work very well for metal (or anything else). The 3-way toggle is great, it's one of the best boost pedals I've ever owned. If you were planning on using it as a primary source of distortion though, it wouldn't do metal at all.

Fantastic as an OD. The best OD I have ever used.
Keeps the original tone of the amp, just more.

Did not like it as a distortion pedal.

Good to know, thanks fella's. Guess it won't break me to buy one and find out for myself.

I would not call this an OD pedal. It is an adds more pedal. If you play something like a plexi and kick this pedal on, it just adds sizzle
and all around goodness without changing the current gain voicing you got. It does not change your amp. As a stand alone not so good with cleans. Anyway, I do not think the pedal was made for that. It is one of my favorite pedals to date. I even bought mine from the first batch.
