For the neck position of a super strat. I want something hum cancelling that will have enough output to keep up with the Duncan Saraceno I have in the bridge.

Dimarzio Injector Neck, Fast Track 1, or Heavy Blues 2.

Well don't laugh but the Lace sensors Hot Gold single coils aren't hum cancelling but they don't have the same wide magnetic field as traditional single coils so you get less noise . less 60 cycle hum and more sustain and can put them quite close to the strings. Great sound and can be bright but not piercing. I don't care for the other ones but the golds are very nice. I think they went off the radar after Fender stopped using them but a great single coil no doubt. Have them on my American Deluxe Strat and they sound great in the neck. but you may want to check out Lollar pickups, I have heard good things about those but never heard them myself.

Not a true single coil but the Cruiser a la Andy Timmons ( he uses the Bridge Model in neck and middle - actual neck model will be a little brighter/thinner ).

I liked the Lace Hot Golds in the Demo on this thread....

Then you have the Area 61 and the Kinman Woodstock .

That Carr Rambler is one sweet little amp. beautiful to behold. sorry off topic.

I have a couple Virtual Vintage 416's in a guitar with a hum and those puppies are pretty bright and have no problems keeping up in volume.

I'm going through this right now as well.

I have a Stratocaster I'm dumping an Aldrich in and I need a LOUD single (stacked bucker) at the neck and I keep going back to the Injector (use use them at the bridge in a couple of my Stratocasters) and a VV Heavy Blues (I use these in a couple of my Stratocasters as well, bridge) but am not sure how they will react when I put a 500k pot in for the Aldrich. Will they be too bright? Thoughts?

I have another Stratocaster with an Aldrich and I have a Dimarzio Pro Track at the neck in that guitar and I don't really care for it. Not loud enough and a little dull. Sounds ok, but will be replaced when I find the right neck pickup for this newer Stratocaster.

What humbucker? The Aldrich crushes anything I've used with it.....

Had an Aldrich in there at one point but I preferred a MCP Wade wound up for me. The 500k didn't make the VV's in there too bright either. They're in an alder/rosewood deal.
