saw hadrien jam with , and took my son for his first namm so we sat at franks feet and watched the master rip.

also saw gambale, steve smith, victor wooten and tom coster destroy at korg booth

my son saw henrik from dirty loops play and stevie wonder playing drums at aquarian and his mind was blown! his 2 favorites!

simon phillips was cruising at ziljian
mark day let me check out the ss sig and it was a sweetie with strat/singles

played eminence eric johnson = great

driving home from baked potato where mike and abe jr raged. you would laugh if you saw where my son and i sat. mike handed my son a complimentary honkies cd so technically gave my son a boner and he also got gambale's pick

pretty decent for his first namm day ever with dad!

Wow! Sounds like a great day capped off with a great night. I am sure the young lad had the time of his life!

this was intense
we were sitting so close it was like being at a rehersal in someone's livingroom
gambale still has it, and jeff berlin was at the booth the day before and when we asked him he called hadrien the best living bass player

landau's dumble was so loud that when he hit low end notes pieces of the ceiling were falling!
i was within arm's reach of his dumble all night.

I don't mean this in a pink wig sort of way, But I miss hanging with you guys!!

See you next year! ;)

What he said, verbatim...

Now what is the the deal with Stanley Jordan????

The pink wig thing ..... interesting. I do not wear wigs myself.....

my friend was at the hilton last night and saw robben ford and "stantessa"
you'll have to see for yourself brogo stick but try obama with a long pink wig for starters

home apron can still throw down between pilates classes

Stanley Jordan never did a thing for me. I remember seeing him play on the Streets of NYC YEARS ago and thought that it was cool but more of a novelty. IMHO, its just too limited and every note has this annoying "plink" sound that just bugs the heck out of me. I cant knock the guy for his creativity and approach but it just isnt for me..

i like stanleys arrangement of elanor rigby and stairway
he's a great musician

oh yeah
eric gales gave out sampler 3 song cds of his new project with pinnick
and will be giving lessons on skype

I was checking out Phil X site and he does Skype lessons too but way too spendy for me. I have the urge to play regularly again and maybe even take some lessons but unfortunately my laziness (or perhaps other commitments) preclude me from most and my cheapness eliminates the rest.

This is by far the best jam from NAMM I've seen this year, FG's tone was not that good in recent years, but on this he has a great fusion sound. Most likely from his new sig Carvin and the DV Mark amps. Did you see the amp he was running into?
Thanks for a great clip.

its a preamp looking thing that is his signature amp from this company "mark" he was playing for
all it needed was some fx in the loop

Was great to see you brotatoahs. Eric was KILLING it, and that guy screaming in the video needs to not finish a magnum of Kettle with friends before he leaves the hotel room next year. ;)

Bogner Atma was very cool and punchy and had a crazy array of tones inside.

Randall 45 was ripping as well. Light weight, many crispy organic tones, and the price point is going to make it fly off the shelves.

The game changer for me was the Kemper. Floored is all I can say.

i wasnt sold on the kemper but it'd be great to have a device like it or axe2 for easy gigging like we talked about
i loved the two rock exo, bogner atma, and friedman steve stevens
also the trace elliot acoustic amps and carbon fiber acoustic guitars were incredible!

Man that was good times! I am sold on the Kemper in a big way, especially for gigs. It will end up being one rig for all the different types of shows I do and I can gain some space back at the house, which my wife will truly dig. I have 2 or three electric setups and then an acoustic setup to boot. Wrapping all that up in one package will RULE. Just have to acquire the funds, which already has me sending text messages to local buddies about gear I got for sale.

If I had loads of cash, I have two Atma's and two Bogner 2x12s and call it a day.
