I found this 2x12 cab for a good price and haven't seen many around. I bought a pair of Scumback J75's with the bigger dust cap weeks ago and needed to throw them in something and that cab showed up. The J75's with the bigger dust cap sound similiar to the M75 IMHO. I wanted something on the Greenback side of the fence since my Electra Dyne 2x12 has V30's in it.

And I know some guys hate these new LP Classic Customs because of the baked maple board, but this thing rocks. I went out and played a bunch of these and came home with this one. What a concept huh, actually playing a guitar before buying it. :D I've been playing a Suhr Modern that I sold to fund this and I can play soo much better on the LP and the tone.....you just can't beat a good sounding LP for rock. The Moderns are cool but I guess the 24.75 scale with the slim 60's neck and tilt back design just works for me.

Sure I know Gibson sucks as a company but it's hard to beat this formula. There's plenty of dogs out there, go out and find one.

Killer guitar! Never played through scums but in Pete Thorn's demo I really liked the large dustcap J. Sounded great on the heavy rock stuff. Congrats

How does the baked maple board compare (differ) feel and tone-wise to the rosewood board pauls?
I'm a maple board guy for the most part anyway, so I'm one of the few weirdos that thinks the baked maple could be sweet on an LP.

Looks awesome Dan! How does the cab sound? That Les Paul looks great to me.

I mean, people are paying 4k for Suhr moderns with baked maple boards right? It sounds like an LP Custom to me, it's brighter than a standard but it's a bright agressive. And some lemon oil darkens it up. These one's are probably in most GC's out there so you should be able to find some to play.

Sounds good to me and back can partially open up if I wanted an open back sound. It's pretty small and light which is good. Not sure if I want to deal with big cabs anymore. I think more about dialing in the sound for my room. My friend has my copies of Sonar and I need to get them back if I want to record anything.

Wow, quite the transformation man... Beauty Lester, and I am stoked to see you loaded up the cab. I think the axe is a beauty

Congrats...

I may have to put some tape over the Sumback logo, My daughter will be 3 in a few months but she can almost make out words. Don't want her walking around and calling grandma a Scumback.

Good thing you didn't buy a Fuchs.

Cool, thanks, sounds like it might be right up my alley.
I'll have to check a few out next time I hit GC. Do they have the slim '60s or fat '50s neck profile?

Nice LP. I actually hit up 3 GC's in one day and played about 12 Lesters. The best sounding/playing one was a Classic Custom in that exact same finish. I could care less if the fretboard is made of baked potatoes.....as long as it sounds good.

Yeah, you see, I think you settle in on a half way decent brand/model and then go out and play a bunch of them to find the one that works best for you...just like you did.

I think there's going to be good and bad within any brand/model. I'll never buy another guitar without playing a bunch of the same first.

Oh yeah, congrats on a great guitar.

Congrats. It is hard to beat Scumback speakers.
I just loaded a 2/12 cab today also. Nice looking guitar as well. :)

I prefer brighter LP's .... :) Congratulations ...
