NCD: custom Friedman 4x12 - Houston we have a problem

Finally got my custom order Friedman 4x12 unfortunately, what was ordered with vintage grill cloth, showed up with black... bummer... ordered through sweetwater and I have the comms. To show what was ordered with my sales rep. Not sure what the mix up was but Im confident it will get made right. Cosmetic discrepancy aside. It's a great sounding cab.

Best made and killer sounding cab. V30's bottom, GBs on top? Definitely send it back to get the grill cloth to go with your head. SW has top notch customer service.
 
If you like how it sounds now, you might consider keeping it and getting a discount. Different grill cloths will alter the sound. For better or worse is up to your own ears.

PS: Different tolex may have different tones but doesn't that halfstack sound a bit 'boxy' in that closet looking compartment it is in :D
 
I actually like the way that looks now! See if they will comp you a discount due to the mixup!

Sweetwater is replacing it but I get to use until the new one arrives...
 
This is an opportunity to play them side by side. Let your ears decide which one you like better.
 
I offered options like them sending me a new baffle w the right grill cloth, or an all white tolex baffle for my head. They opted to replace. In the end I'll get what I order so it's all good.
 
All is well that ends well. And yes it sounds better when it matches... :thumbsup:
