The guy i got it from was going to restore and replaced the grill cloth and gave me a roll of white piping.
Really digging it uncovered so i think it will stay that way.

Awesome cab!

I've been thinking about stripping my cab as well. Bare looks great.

If you like Scumbacks, go with the BM75's. Aggressive yet refined at the same time.

Looks badass like that, dude.....HNvintageCD! That thing is older than I am!

You are the second person to mention the BM75s !

I am torn between these three:

M75
M75LD
BM75

Can anyone help make some comparisons ?
Jim recommended the M75LD for my high gain Marshalls but that was before the release of the BM75s

Thoughts ?

Thanks

I have tried the M75, H75, and still have the M75LD's. Mine are the 65 watt version and high gain Marshall tones are my thing.

The BM75's sound promising but I don't know if I would want a more bite in my M75's. Then again, I have never tried the BM's so what do I know?

I have M75/H75's in one cab and new BM75-LD's in another cab (all 65 watt versions). The H75/M75 cab is awesome but much smoother than the new BM75-LD's. Really like both but Jim suggested the BM75's and I love them! More aggressive but not in a nasty way, bigger low end and just a great sound overall. If you want smooth go M75's or H75's if you want more bite with a bigger low end go with the BM75-LD's.

To screamindeamon and Fek:

I wrote this after receiving my BM speakers almost a year ago:

"Out of every speaker I have ever tried, nothing has come as close to a real hand-guitar-amp connection as I have found with my BM75's. The tone literally oozes from my fingers while I'm tap dancing across the fretboard. For me at least, the BM75's have sweet, stinging Mids, thunderous Lows and smooth, silky Highs."

This still proves to be true for me. I'm also loading my 4x12 with two M75's to smooth out the attack in the highs and add a different dimension. Jim said it's a good mix.

Thanks for the input guys and Laura ! ;)

The BM75LD sounds like the ticket. I love aggressive ! :D

I emailed Jim today and he also recommended the BM75LD for High gain 80's Marshall tone !

Looks like all I have to do now is sell some shit so I can afford them ! :(

Exactly

I have a cab with M75/H75's and played some of the BM75's, and Laura is spot on with this description.

So you prefer the BM's ?

I don't know which I prefer. Once I get these thoroughly broken in I can tell you. Probably will just depend on the day. Sometimes I like a smoother tone and sometimes I want more bite.

There are too many speakers that I want to buy and try to put them thru their paces, rather than merely playing them in someone else's cab for 20 minutes.

If Celestion would release the Lynchbacks in 16 ohms, I would have a harder time deciding, but the BM's will probably be what I load the next cab with.
