Are you wanting a Superstrat type or more of a Vintage Les Paul, PRS type of guitar? Some suggestions being made for more of a heavier style guitar?

I'm with him. Suggestions to help you out better would be nice.

Lets narrow it down OP. You want a heavier style guitar I know a good one for 1050. As good as their 2600+ dollar models. You want a Les Paul type I know another you can pick up for maybe 1200 used.

First of all. When you go to brake up with your backstage Betty make sure all your gear is about five miles away in a undisclosed location. This doesn't include your friends house due to the fact she is some how involved with your so called friends in some satanic form or another. Satan has no true friends. Secondly, do not trust your new girl friend with it because more then likely she has been messaged in some form or another from Satan herself and they are plotting a plan against destroying all your gear because your new hooker is getting bombarded with a bunch of bullshit from your ex and it will be just a matter of time before Satan gets her to turn on you. Now down to business. You can't go wrong with an Ibanez,Jackson or ESP/LTD. Even the low end crappy guitars they build still play better then most. Just saying. Oh ya,Karma is a bitch regardless of what happend. Your ex shouldn't have smashed a guitar. That is just not cool. I think you may have escaped the wrath of Saton on this one. Good luck.
