Hi Huys,
Long time lurker, 1rst time poster.
I currently use a Komet 60 w/attenuator & 2-12 w/Vintage 30s. I also use a 3 Monkeys Sock Monkey combo for small gigs. My effects are a Strymon Brigadier delay, Vertex volume pedal, Polytune & an OD (I switch out between an SD-9, Wampler Ecstacy, Wampler Pinnacle Deluxe, Simble OD). My guitars are a Grosh Retro Classic;6100 frets & rosewood board with SD Cool Rails in neck, SD Vintage Rails in the middle & a SD Hot Rails+ in the bridge and a Grosh NOS strat; 6100 frets & rosewood board with SD Cool Stack in neck, Vintage Stack in the middle & a Vintage Hot Stack+ in the bridge. I do studio work, backup singer/songwriters but love to play Rock & Blues Rock with high gain.

I'm looking for a 100 watt head with loop(for the delay), Master Volume, Single Channel(or 2 channels but I don't usually footswitch between channels) with high enough gain that I won't have to use a OD pedal to push the front end. I'm 55 yo and grew up using just the guitar, volume pedal, cord & amp. I am a clutz when it comes to having alot of pedals to tap dance on. Its all I can do to concentrate on playing :). I never use sparkling clean, I always like a little hair on it.

The amps I'm interested in are a Friedman BE-100, Bogner Helios, Morgan MV45 & Suhr Handwired series.

I need your advice on which amps to check out. I am open to all suggestions. HELP

The BE is a great way to go!!! I would also recommend the Suhr SL68. You won't be disappointed with either!!!!

Yup...what the guys above said. BE or some type of modded Marshall.

Yep, a decent Marshall or Friedman, and you should be good to go!

For my rigs, I've been running a Mark III on the lead channel, and I just use the guitar's volume to go from clean-with-some-hair-on-it to full-on ROAR! It may not be the world's most popular amp, but I've always got tons of compliments on my tone, and I haven't wanted anything besides ANOTHER Mark III. Definitely try to check one out (or even a Mark IV, which tends to be a little darker) before you pick up your next amp.

Being a BE100 owner I'm a bit biased but it can certainly do everything you're looking for and more. On the cheap a Marshall DSL could work as well.

Splawn Quickrod can do exactly that...and for a fraction of the cost

What about a Germino 100 watter with his master volume? Would it have enough gain?

Hi...

I have Friedman BE100 and I love it... it to me is the perfect amp for my needs and playing tastes, but not cheap.

I also have Friedman Small Box 50 on order with some custom tweeks and that sounds like an amp that could work for your needs as well as it is very cool and cleans up great with volume knob and picking dynamics.

I cant wait to get it hopefully soon.

I had a Helios 100 in my hands that I quickly grabbed to try out while I am waiting for one I have on order that coming in a mid July I am now told. It is a great amp but I thought it needed to be cranked up a bit compared to the Friedman to get what I was personally looking for. I also find that for me the cab you choose can make a big difference with these amps depending on your tastes...

I saw that someone else mentioned Splawn and that is a great amp too if the other stuff is too much $$$ for your wallet... Killer old school Marshall and the Splawn 50 watt super comp is WAY cool too

I even might know of a friend who has a an almost brand new one dead mint and it is the latest version with the B+ mod that he might be selling...

Your budget will pave the road od decision on this one...

If you could play each one of those heads you mentioned you would certainly and definitively find the one you like the best. I suggest doing that whenever possible. The be-100 so far has been the best in all departments of tone, channel types...clean/drive/lead...but that's my IMO
good luck in finding your "it"

I had an SLO...Killer amp and the best I've owned. I've had EVERY modded Marshall...Camerons are the best to my ears. I grabbed a VHT Deliverance 60 and it's BY FAR the best bang for the buck you can find. It has the same SLO vibe of clarity and punch. I won't say it's as good but I see them for 1K and for that price it will kill anything BY FAR. One channel, no loop but you can send it to Fryette and they will do it for 300 and it's like a one week turnaround. VERY touch sensitive and cleans up great with the guitar volume. Those other amps are great but for a MUCH lower price you'd be happy with one of these. Needs no boost..and is has a gain style knob that lets me go from modded marshall to modern easily. Good luck!

Another Friedman vote here, I went with the SmallBox, BE channel, plenty loud, 1k less.

Not the OP but question about Friedman 50 Watter.

Does he have a 50W 2 channel that does Fender Clean on Ch1 and the fatter, smoother Marshall Thing on Ch 2 ?

You can get a used Mesa Electra Dyne for around $1000. I love mine.
