This is in response to the Craigslist ad that you inquired about. I have priced this amp at what I believe, based on condition, it's worth. This is a good amp, and the price is very fair. Please understand that why I do want to sell it, I will keep it rather than sell it for far less than it's worth. That being said, I will entertain offers. Make and offer, and we'll go from there.

This seems fishy to me. I don't like it. I don't have as much experience buying and selling as you all, hence why I would like some advice from some seasoned pros at this sort of thing. I mentioned cash specifically in the description. Plus, I don't want anyone coming to my house. I've never, ever done that and don't want to do that now. My gut is telling me to pass on this. What say you?

Yeah no offense to the Globalists but anyone replying from craigslist with broken English or with wording that sounds like it is from the year 1846 is not legit.

I am actually surprised they are still doing this. I got one of these replies back in 2003. I knew it was fake but I didn't care. I was moving in a couple of weeks and was curious to see what happened.

Same exact reply I received almost 15 years ago, man time flies.

I had a SS Crate GX-2200h for like $100 or $200 or something and they said they would send a $1,300 check to me and have their mover pick up the amp.

Ok sure, lets do it The check actually arrived and it looked legit as hell. For a second I was like woa, wait a minute lol.

Brought it to a Bank and sure enough it was a fake. I knew it would be but hey it was worth a shot.

I am just surprised they haven't thought of something better after all this time. Literally almost a copy/paste of a reply that I got over a decade ago.

I had almost the exact opposite happen once. The first email seemed like it was definitely a scam, so I decided to play along. One phone call and two days later a really nice dude showed up with cash and didn't even haggle on the price.

I sent one guy an email stating I was ok with this and to send the check to Joe Biden's email. He enquired about two weeks later, and I told him he'd sent a check to the VP of the USA and that he'd be receiving an email reply soon, and that it wasn't my fault if the Secret Service deported him for trying to scam the VP.

Never heard anything back.

Because fuck him, that's why.
