Need advise on small photo booth for my shop to photo gear

Thanks Reza, Im really good with a M16A2 and not to shabby with a M60 so maybe I will be ok with a camera.

The camera doesn't recoil and most have Image Stabilizers

And all this time I figured you for a 50cal or Mk-19 kinda guy!! LOLOL (for those that dont know, a MK-19 is a belt fed, full automatic grenade launcher used for shooting tanks..LOL)

sweetwater does the same thing.

I've done some test photos at home using my wife's photography stuff (she's actually good at it, lol).

I use a 3 softbox setup with one of her backgrounds on a background stand...It's all pretty cheap stuff comparatively speaking, but for a stationary setup, it's fine enough...

Shoot in Manuel Mode. Shutter speed: 1/160. ISO 200. ƒ/8 - ƒ/11 for sharpness. Set strobe power to get you proper exposure at your chosen ƒ/stop. When using off-camera flash, shutter speed control ambient light and aperture controls flash exposure. ISO should always be at your camera's native/base setting.

Paul C Buff makes the Alien Bee's lights too...good stuff!! If you go look at Fatsound guitars website, all his pics until VERY recently were also jsut the 1 Alienbees light/softbox and a white backdrop...Stu would take the pics right in the middle ofthe store....its not the equipment, its the experience of the photographer...


These pics were all taken with 1 softbox/Alien Bee's 400 watt light, 1 light stand, the cheapest backdrop paper we could find (like 30 bucks a roll), and a 10 year old Canon 20D that you could get of craigslist for 250 bucks tops... Ron Thorn just got his 1 light and box 3 weeks ago and these were his very first pics....think they are great myself!!

Yeah, Paul C. Buff / Alien Bees are great lights. Brad, I recommend the Einstein because it maintains constant color temperature all the way through its power range. Most other cheap lights don't do that, so you will get weird color casts sometimes. I assume you want to accurately represent the guitar's color...

You could probably do with just one Einstein and a large softbox.
