hey everyone...need some advise (Papa included)
im looking to make my Einstein combo sound more vintage...if that makes sense. Heres the current setup

SED 6550 Power Tubes ( had KT77s.. would 6L6 make a difference??)
Recommended Ruby Pres
Celestion K100 speaker ( put this in after my Scumback BM75 was playing tricks on my ears..but think I liked the Scum better..not as modern sounding)
Not running much effects..just for taste

So in my head im thinking speaker change again...Thoughts? Go back to Scumback? V30? Greenback? Maybe a Creamback?? im looking for a chimy clean tone with a great dirty channel (which the amp has..just missing something I guess)

any ideas would be helpful so I don't have to go too crazy!!

65 or a WORN in V30 may help. From time to time I put a lower gain preamp tube in V1. AT7 or AU7

I may have to try the 30. I have one sitting in the studio. Any other thoughts fellas???

I love V30s, but not in combos. I'd go for a G12-65, which I know I do like in combos.
