hey everyone I just bought myself a xmas pres :D a 08 custom 22...Ive always been a LP or SG guy but always wanted to try a prs out. One poped up on my local CL for a decent price so I had to get it.

love the way it feels but the dragon 2's dont do it for me at all....the bridge has way to much treb and the neck is way bassy...

my signal chain is guitar, wah, ts808, ocd, ISP decimator, diezel herbert, orange 4/12

looking for tight bottom end, smooth highs

So I ask you what pickups should I look at?

So far its Bareknuckle holly drivers, suhr aldrich in the bridge with a jazz in the neck ?

You sure its the dragon 2's ? Ive been using the 2's in my prs's for years and theyre certainly not trebly pups.
Check to see if someone modified the tone circuit maybe? Honestly, these are the best pickups ive ever used. Very versatile.

Howdy, I never had any treble issues with my custom 22's and the stock dragons so if this is just a character of your guitar I'm not sure the pickups your looking at would tame that...my suggestion is the Rio Grande bbq buckers. These pickups are big and fat. http://www.riograndepickups.com/scart/S ... me=HB+SETS

I'm also a big fan of the BBQ bucker. If you're downtuning, I'd checkout the MCP Detroiter! It's my current favorite!

 Hmm, I always liked Dragon IIs myself, Playing a Diezel I would probably stay away from anything too hot, seems to work better with a little lower output, never really tried any other pickups other than PRS in them, but I am going to with a Singlecut(non PRS pickups already), I was thinking of trying some Pearly Gates or Slash set. I am curious, let me know what you try.

thanks everyone for the ideas...I think Im going to give the andersons H2+ in the bridge a shoot, still havent figued out a neck yet..work has been so crazy the last few days I havent had much time....but I got a few days off now to get it worked out. Ill report back when i get the H2 in there

I love my Dimarzio AT-1 in the bridge of my American Deluxe strat. I always recommend it for a bridge position humbucker.

Yea i play downtuned and I looked into the Detroiter and its in the lead right now, just need to make my mind up. But the BBQ sounds like a great one as well! might grab one of those for the sg...so much gear so little money lol
