I know that having the old cab at ear level is a good idea for a variety of reasons. Problem is I have been trying to come up with a good way to raise my cab off the ground but im shootin blanks. Any ideas?
Not surprised, but here in the valley of the sun it's copper and the thieves are getting real bold. I expect milk crates to have the same kind of laws as copper in the near future. Picture, finger print and copy of identification on any sale. If your the thief and get caught I believe it's 2 years and a freaking huge fine.
Can you imagine it, This just in; John Smith received a 2 years sentence and a $20,000 fine for milk crate theft. John Smith will be registered in the national milk crate offender database and must wear a tracking device when released. John was a local well respected musician in a up and coming band.
Milk crates rule. But you can hardly find them any more. They used to leave 'em out behind the grocery store. I haven't seen one unsecured in years. I still have the ones I stole 20 years ago. The bigger, rectangular ones are the ones you want.
I use the 4 space version of these: http://www.progearwarehouse.com/Grundorf-ML-04 that I've had sitting around since I gave up on rack stuff many years ago. My case is very light and is ozite carpeted covered so the speaker cab doesn't slide around like it would on the plastic rack cases. The casters on my cab hang just over the sides of the rack case.
