Going to build a Andy Summers clone Tele without the heavy relic kindergarden art class mojo and need some insight on body venders.

Double bound tele body in a tobacco burst, routed to house a bucker in the neck postion. Who is out there that sells this?

Warmoth can. I just got a Warmoth Hard Ash body, loaded it with Suhr Tele pickups, and slapped on a Birdseye Maple neck, and holy shit, it's fucking amazing, but heavy as hell...but the tone is well worth the weight! :)

Best parts will be USA Custom Guitars, hands down
NO finishing though.

I'd hate to see you try and sell these build guitars for less than what a Mexican Strat costs. :D

When is the last guitar you saw me flipping...... ;) The Yngwie came out awesome, rings like a bell and far better than the real deal I tried for 55% less :D Pics soon of it, the guitar smokes

Agree with USACG. Can't really go wrong. You could also ask on TDPRI.com, an informative if clique-y forum.

Ah, the USACG vs. Warmoth debate... a very popular topic on TGP for sure. There's lots of USACG fans that really love to hate on Warmoth.

If you care about Nitro Finishes, and multiple options for 100% period correct body contours, and want your guitar to be all-around more "vintage accurate", then USACG.

If you want a great sounding, killer playing guitar with a gorgeous, durable poly finish, a larger selection of in house finishes, and don't mind "one shape fits all" Tele and Strat options, then Warmoth.

I agree with Nick here. I've built about 20-25 Warmoth guitars and basses, and I've had AWESOME results with each and everyone of my guitars. Both are really high quality. Necks I've gotten from Warmoth and USACG both need fret jobs done to them. Honestly I've built tons of guitars, both being Warmoth and USACG, and I have to say both are equal in quality of wood. Finishes are different, since Warmoth only does Poly finishes. I've got Nitro finishes on a couple of my hand built guitars, and they sound amazing. But so do my Warmoth finished poly finishes too.

You can't go wrong with either Warmoth or USACG.

 Wow. I saw a huge difference in neck construction. I've never had a Warmoth body, so I'm no help there.

All of the necks that I have had from Warmoth have been very good. They've all needed a fret leveling, which I have my luthier do for me. But all of my necks play VERY well. Right now out of my 10 electrics, and one bass, I have 5 electrics with warmoth necks, and one bass with a warmoth neck. They all play amazingly. But, all did require setup with truss rod adjustments to make the fretboard to have the right amount of relief, and all required fret leveling to get low action. My action is typically set between around .08-.10 of an inch for action on most strings.

I have a three birdseye maple necks, one with goncalo alves back and pao ferro fingerboard, one with maple back and brazilian rosewood fingerboard, and my bass is a wenge neck with a ebony fingerboard. All of them have fit into the warmoth neck pockets of the warmoth bodies I've put them to very tightly. I do have one neck on a Fender American Strat, and it plays way better than the Fender one that came with it.

Your mileage may vary, but mine has been superb!

Have zero experience with both companies, only Allparts as that was what I used for my scalloped neck.

No comment about the TGP boys other than I won't listen to that knitting circle.

Nitro vs Poly.....does not matter as either one is going to get abused

Would either company make a body that would fit a Japanese Jackson neck? One of these companies only does Fender routing I thought.

Warmoth does only Fender neck pocket routing.

I'm happy with my Musikraft partster. I did an oil finish (Vlad style) and the thing rings like you wouldn't believe. Would love to do another...

Well been dumpster diving on ebay. nothing yet but have the neck pup already. Custom wound 59ish with a tad more balls from some punk :D ;)
