Hi Peter,

Recently I sent you an e-mail and I need your help to solve a problem I'm having with Matt's Music. It is about canceling an order of a Diezel Columbus.

Order Number : 3668
Placed : 12/14/2010 14:13:14 EDT

This is the e-mail in which I've sent my message: octavio_sherbakov@hotmail.com

I'd appreciate your response about this dilemma I'm having with Matt.

I don't want to receive it anymore and I want a refund. Just as simple as that. (I explained the situation on my e-mail)

Thanks for your time,
Octavio

Octavio,

Peter would not have any input into an issue you are having with a dealer. I would suggest you deal direct with the dealer to solve the issue. Peters customer is the dealer who in turn has you as a customer. Hard for him to intervene and he will be damned no matter what he does.

Thanks for your input Brad. In this case the problem is a little bit different.

Problem is that the dealer told me that he contacted Peter directly and insists on "giving me the pedal on time".

I already told the dealer that the waiting time was way ahead of what we initially agreed upon (he had to make a special order from Germany). Waiting for a midi pedal for a month is a major inconvenience for me because I'm moving.

I made my payment via PayPal and all I'm asking for is a simple refund. I'm thinking on opening a case on PayPal, but I don't want to make a big fuzz about something like this.

Story:

- Dealer doesn't have pedals in stock and tells me to wait 14 days and asks me if I agree.
- I agree to his 14 day wait terms.
- Then I talk him about giving me a refund after a week (because I sense that the pedal won't arrive at time and the price was a bit higher than other websites that had it in stock).
- Dealer tells me that the waiting time won't be much and tells me to wait for shipping information.
- I got a response yesterday (after asking for shipping information again) saying that it will be another 14 days because they don't have any pedals in Germany and they need to wait for parts.
- I'm moving January the 17th and explain to the dealer that I want a refund (again) at this point.
- Dealer is talking to Peter Diezel about this so that the pedal arrives before I leave.

Can't I simply have a refund? The dealer doesn't have these pedals in stock and neither does Diezel.

If it were me I would give you a refund no questions asked, take care of the client and they will take care of you. That said not everyone works off the same philosophy. Good Luck with the issue.

Dear Octavio,

I think this is no place to discuss business with dealers
and we are not in the condition to influence any deals.

We are very sorry that we couldn´t deliver Columbus
boards a long time, but start to built some units on
Monday.
Matt is getting a shipment during next week and
it should arrive in about 10 days. We sell only through
US dealers.

Hope You understand and check out things with
Matt in a good way.

Best regards,
Peter

I apologize for bringing the discussion publicly on this forum, but I needed a quick response from you Peter. I recently sent you an e-mail regarding this deal. I also sent an e-mail some time ago regarding a purchase for a 4x12 I wanted on December. Seems you guys are very busy lately and are not replying to these e-mails at time, no worries.

Peter, I understand that you can't influence the dealer's transaction in any way. All I want is to cancel this transaction and the dealer told me that he personally talked to you about it. This is the reason I needed a quick response on your behalf.

If "the man" himself is telling me that the pedal won't arrive at time (I'm moving on January 17), then I don't see why the dealer would refuse to give me a refund at this point.

Matt looks like a nice guy to deal with, so I don't think I'll have any problems with him after telling him what you said.

Thanks for the information Peter, this is exactly what I wanted to know

I'm glad to inform that Matt sent me a full refund :)
