Had me scared there for a second...nowdays when I see posts with just someone's name I think I'm going to click and see that they died.

I met Neil/Pat/Myron & their road manager in Waikiki 1981.
Neil is timeless and amazing.
Huge influence on me.

"Timeless and amazing", totally agree! An under-the-radar monster player who orchestrates his parts to perfectly fit whatever the song needs. And his production chops are off the charts! They were one of the true Power-couple in the 80's.

Such a great sense of rhythm in his playing that Ive always dug... plays like a drummer would play guitar. Great tone, great writer, great overall mojo.... IMO..... one of the very few that wrote entirely for the 'song'.

Another guy (like Elliot Easton) who always came up with the perfect solos for each song.
I wore out Benatar's second album.

This solo is incredible.

That’s my favorite of all their tunes. Every cover band I’ve been in with a female vocalist, I required us to cover it lol

This has been on the radio a million times and I doubt many have paid the solo tons of attention.

This is beyond brilliant. That opening lick was a head turner first time I heard it.

Been a while since I played this, but IIRC, the very first few notes of this solo are identical to a short section of The Cars' You're All I've Got Tonight second guitar solo.

Even Marty Friedman was complimentary of NG and Marty dislikes most players.

@ about 3:27?

That's right, but that's a slightly different version than I had always known and have in my iTunes library.

Saw them a couple years ago at a local venue, and they're still bringing it. I haven't had a chance to watch the video yet, but isn't he still using those late '70s JMP combos? It's good to have roadies, lol.
