Yo preorders just went live a few hours ago at Sweetwater for the Neural Quad Cortex. There are other retailers if you are not in the US. Just a friendly FYI. Links below.

Sweetwater has been allotted 1500 units. They are officially announcing shipping on November 27th, but a Sweetwater rep mentioned that the current ETA that Neural has quoted the is the 13th. I put my order in at 5pm CT, and I was #75 on the list.

The QC has not gotten much attention over here, but I am going to jump in on it out of the gate. It has big shoes to fill if it wants to truly displace my Axe Fx III, but I am moving back into real amps and the QC should be a better option for me, especially with its Kemper like Profiling/Capture feature for both amps, pedals, etc.

Yes I saw that! Very interested in this unit for a multi fx/recording tool. Seems like the best combination of everything all in one. If it can actually deliver on that then it'll destroy the competition. I'm def a tube lover but for late night practice and fx/switching for your rig it's a killer thing.

Also, Sweetwater financing and customer service.

Definitely a cool product! Can't wait to hear more from the ones who get the first units.

Cool, thanks for sharing. I had almost forgotten this was coming out. I got real excited earlier this year before I saw that it was not available yet and would be a ways out. Need to reappoint myself with it. As mentioned above, it will be hard to unseat my AxeFx III, but sounds really cool.

Problem is all my time, money and energy is going into building a website marketplace, so doubt I can buy shit for a while.

One of the things I am the most intrigued by is the ability to run 4 amps at once (captures/profiles or internal models) and to also do captures of external pedals. I have found that my ideal tone requires a blend of few amps and includes certain options that are not included in the Axe Fx (e.g. Wizard amps).

Also, the ease of use, form factor, and portability could not be any more perfect.

I have lowered expectations on the QC's models of real amps living up the Fractal's, but I would love to be pleasantly surprised. Also, I read somewhere (believe it was Neural's forum) that they do not intend to do a bunch of updates to existing models like Fractal does. This would be nice if the models are truly top notch out of the gate since compulsive patch tweaking for every update will no longer be necessary. On the other hand, it could also mean being stuck in mediocracy, IF that is how things wind up.

Also, I am fine with likely losing the deep editing and tweakability with the QC compared to Fractal with the tradeoff being the ability to have Captures and the ability to run so many amps at once. Heck, if the QC's Captures wind up being jaw dropping impressive and better than Neural's internal models, I bet there could be a number of users who will do captures of their Fractal's rather than buying up a handful of tube amps.

I'm just stoked in part that the plug-ins I have - in particular the Fortin models - will be able to be added to the mix as well, and those things are GODDAM AMAZING.

I did some captures my Fractal stuff on a Kemper, and it was KILLER, so I would agree that adding the capability in the QC to do the same really opens some doors.

Thanks for the heads up! Very interested in trying this out.

Glad to see it's getting released soon. I'm a modeler player and this is very intriguing. Size and switching look perfect.
