Neural's got something BIG dropping

Major hype (even by their standards) over whatever this is.
There's a major firmware update for the QC happening any time too.
Taking a jump from 1.2.2 to 1.3.0 so it should be good stuff.
 
Their plug-ins are always interesting, and sound fantastic! I actually prefer them to the QC!
 
My guess is that it’s a Fortin plugin. They had Fortin tagged in the original IG tease.

I've been using their plug-ins with the QC through USB.

Top row feeds out to the plug-in and then back into the bottom row so I can use of the QC stomps
with the amp from the plug. Latency is >3ms so basically nothing.

The Plini Friedman head sound AMAZING this way.

My guess it's something fortin. I sold my QC as I bought 2 new amps and have been using them consistently but I do miss the QC. I just don't see why there is so much hoopla about this particular release as it's more hyped than their usual releases

Big score for Neural though.
Petrucci's one of the most well known axe slingers on the planet.
Having him pimp your wares has to be big for any gear company!
 
I’m digging the idea. I kinda thought they needed to do a JP archetype, but am still a a little surprised TBH. They (NDSP) haven’t done a Mesa plugin yet, and JP’s Mesas are the stuff of legend (actual melodic Mesa tones - not overdriven mush/djent stuff) so it should be pretty cool. I’ll have to check it out tonight.
 
I should also ask, is there a list of the “likely” amp models that are in the NDSP plug-ins out there? I’ve found a few “I think” lists, but nothing really “official”.

Yeah the Petrucci worship has reached ridiculous heights over the past few years...

Smart of Neural DSP to jump on that I suppose.

I'm just glad I don't use computers to play guitar
 
I'll do the trial of this. It looks great and has some interesting features that their other plugins don't. I don't care that much for Petrucci, but that's a major score for Neural, way higher profile than the usual for them.
 
I’d agree - I’m not a DT or JP fan. Their music and his playing exhaust me. Too much math going on…almost pointless and borderline noodling… That said, JP *does* have a good ear for tone.
 
Wow, that petrucci video sounds like the more bland and flat-soda VSTs I've heard.

Especially the rhythm sound.

Hopefully having a well known guy like JP shill their products makes them boatloads of cash, but I'm completely uninterested ?

Plug sure sounds great in his hands!



Love that he uses the JP15 for everything. Such an improvement looks-wise over the Majesty imo.
