New Alter Bridge Single "Show me a Leader"

I dig Alter Bridge. Myles is the tits, and Tremonti has always been a gifted riff and song writer. The 'modern rock' style takes tons of crap about being 'generic' but I dare anyone to try to come up with hooks as strong.

This production and mix is really interesting. On the one hand it takes the loudness-war to a new ridiculous level, but it does leap out of my monitors fo sho.

The vocals are freaking polished, like a MIDI synth playing in perfect intonation. Myles is great, but this sounds beyond human. Still cool.

Mark has taken his shredding-practice from (IMO) goofy noodling, to WTF level. This is pretty fantastic playing in the solo. Kudos to him for really improving.

I like it...but I predict many wont at all.

I totally agree about Tremonti... he's been growing so much as a player ever since AB debuted. Monster player for sure...

TBH, I dig Myles' lead playing more, but Tremonti can play for sure

 Yeah, I could ride around listening to this on "BLAST!"

That is a Rev Green Uberschall on the album?

Tune was decent/pretty good. Not their best by a long shot. Myles is such a great singer. Thank God that Tremonti didn't wah the shit out of the solo. He's always played cool solo's but the fuckin wah pedal overshadowed his playing IMHO.

Fixed

Jk, I love the wah pedal.

Love/hate it.

When a band resorts to the "whoa...whoa"....chorus thing, ..the end is near.

Wait,.... there's some kids on my grass, gotta go.

Don't shoot, they are probably just playing Pokeman.

Agreed.
"Whoa" over and over.
Sounds good though.

I kno he still digs and utilizes the uber and recto for his rhythm tones. He used a cornford kotzen for leads on fortress album.... he may be using that again for this album as well...he also has been using a franzel amp for leads recently. He is a complete gear nut.... he belongs here

Personally, im not a huge fan of his live tone....just too boomy and thick without much dimension. He is a monster player tho....and good dude.

I dig it mostly

The chorus arrangement is super catchy
The bridge whoa whoa could have
Been better but didn't ruin it
Solo was good but was really dry
I also prefer the higher tuning drop d or C# I think it makes a little more punchy tone
That. Said I think the track is decent for sure

He has been using a new signature Prs amp in proto
As per his Twitter I believe it's Archon based

Bogner is usually the lead amp

Great band, great talent. Probably the only Modern rock that I immediately grab as soon as its available. 3 yrs ago live here at Rock fest Tremonti used a Diezel combined with an Archon, and a Fender for cleans. Awesome show. The next year Myles was with Slash, best band of the whole festival.

I think he uses a bunch of amps. Recto's, the Archon, Uber, and something else.

Myles has come a long way since he was Thor - God of Thunder lol. Love his vocals.
