Here we have a 5 Channel Carlsbro PA head!
The transformer was like the leaning tower of pisa when I got the amp but they worked just as they should.
Looks similar inside to the other Carlsbro's I've had my nose in.
Time to clean it from the old components!
Removed the transformers and bent the mounting brackets so they stand up straight again.
New boards installed to build up the new circuits on.
Fitted new alpha pots for the whole amp.
And here we have the finished amp! The guy in Spain who owns the amp wanted cream chicken heads exept for the volume-controls therefor it's a mix of black and cream chicken heads
Now it's a two channel amp with a footswitchable gain boost for each channel, two footswitchable master volumes and a tube buffered effects loop.
The power supply.
I've bought a huge collection of NOS Mustard capacitors, ISKRA resistors and Beyschlag/Draloric resistors. I'm using ISKRA 2W for the plate resistors in this amp.
Here is an explanation that tells what all knobs and switches does:
1. Bright switch - left: dark/ middle: medium/ right: bright - Clean channel
2. Treble - Clean channel
3. Bright switch - left: dark/ middle: medium/ right: bright - Gain channel
4. Treble - Gain channel
5. Punch shift - Changes the frequency the punch-control operates in
6. Presence shift - Changes the frequency the presence-control operates in
7. Volume - Clean channel
8. Middle - Clean channel
9. Volume - Gain channel
10. Middle - Gain channel
11. Punch

20. Gain - Clean channel
21. Gain switch - left: bright gain/ middle: low gain/ right: fat gain
22. Gain - Gain channel

This clip is recorded with a Golden Age R3 Active.
Guitar: Greco EGF1000 with a Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge and a Seymour Duncan 59 in the neck.
Cab: Malmberg 4x12 with Celestion Greenbacks from 1970/1973.
This clip is recorded with an iPhone 4S using the same guitar and cab.
