Going to be a frustrating day. Picked up a Triple Recto from a guy on CL, and now it's just sitting in the corner of my office, mocking me. Then I have to carry the damn thing back to my house on the train (why didn't I drive today???).

Oh well. Can't wait to plug it in tonight. I've played a Multiwatt Triple a few times and loved it. Hopefully the non-multiwatt 3-channel Triple is very similar.

EDIT: Obligatory crappy cell phone picture in front of the awesome wood paneling in my rental...

lol, a pic of it sitting in my office? Where I work, I think distributing photos of inside the offices would be frowned upon, unfortunately.

I absolutely love mine. Fantastic tones come out of that box. Very versatile.
Run it through a couple 4x12's and it feels like nothing else. The headroom and pure power is breathtaking.
Hope you dig it.

Congrats on the amp. And its nice to see that someone is working in that area of the Country. :)

Congrats, I prefer Triple's for the higher resolution in tone even at lower volumes.

Plugged in for literally about 30 seconds then had to run. The Triple may not like G12-65 speakers. Have to give it a bit more time, but a new cab day may be in my near future.

Absolutely get an OS 8 ohm 4x12 recto cab. Trust me.

Yeah, I had a Recto 2x12 years ago. Great cab. Might pickup the big guy this weekend.

+1 for the OS recto cab..But also like a orange 4/12 with rectos as well.

This thing is awesome. Do miss the recto tracking feature of the new multiwatts, as I found that I really prefer Modern mode with the SS rectifier and the Vintage mode with the tube rectifier. Not a huge deal considering what I paid for this amp. Sounds like a recto should. Huge with some sag and that fizz/sizzle over the top. Gets along fine with an old Marshall 4x12 with G12-65s afterall, just have to be careful not to make the amp too dark. Still want a new cab though, lol.

Ran in stereo with a JCM 2204. That was very nice.

Very fun amp. Maybe not the most mature amp on the planet, but for just good ol' fun with high gain rock riffing, so much fun.

rectumfriers ROCK

I'm not being sarcastic, either. It's the one amp I keep coming back to

Im deff in the same boat as some of you ..know matter what amps come and go Ive always got a recto ..just fun a amp to play, so many tones in it.. bang for the buck money its hard to beat ...

as far as the orange goes it calms down some of the fizz and and tightens up the low end .. well that and a boost in the front. Throw a eq in the loop for some heavy heavy tones

I almost picked up a 2 channel triple recto the other day. Couldn't stand to dive into my savings like that when I still have the 2 channel dual...and all of my amps, with the exception of the 5153 mini, are currently in a stack on top of my 212 in the bedroom...not really being used besides for bedroom practicing if I build up enough cajones to stop playing through the pod or jamup.

I have an Orange 4x12 and think it sounds terrible with my Recto (harsh, piercing and flat). I know tone is subjective but I'm not sure how anyone can stand the way those two pair up.

Mesa 4x12 FTW.

Channel 1, Pushed mode with the gain dimed and hit with an SD-1 is a hoot. Definitely a fun amp, but the low end is so hard to control. Must. Get. V30. Cab.
