Just got this amp delivered today!!!! Bought it used on Reverb from the original owner. What a killer amp. I thought it was just going to be a one trick pony geared more towards aggressive metal, but the low gain tones are killer too!!!

This thing is my number one; low input with the boost/diodes off is a great medium gain tone.

I believe the tight switch is just a voltage divider, so I've been debating pinging Shae to see if that could be modded into knob in order to really dial in the thickness.

Sounds like it would be something I would like too. Let me know what he says.

I second this. Also try the low input with a tube screamer or SD1 out front. You can get some great higher gain 80's thrash tones like that.

"yeah the tight switch could totally be a knob and not a switch, depending on which version sk you have some will be easier to mod than others"

God I hope I find time to do this; might just ask my local shop since my soldering skills are mostly limited to pickups and maybe pedals.

Need to crack it open and see if that Top input can be made switchable. I think it's just a clean gain stage up front, so in theory could just bypass it with a wire and reuse the existing right switch.

I have had some time with it and it is definitely one of my top amps!
