@japetus honestly my Cali tweed 4:40 6v6 does literally every vintage fender tone except for the giant high powered twin thing

It does blackface, blonde/brownface, silver face, and tweed of literally EVERY amp, with the right speaker combo and the right multiwatt power setting

Being able to go from a champ style distortion to a deluxe is insanely nice, instead of owning 37 fenders
I have been waiting for your review of it

Dude, it is the only boogie I've ever truly loved as an amp

I will never get rid of it

It's so versatile in its vintage fender lane, and has its own spice as well, it's got a little more cut and high midrange

I don't think mesa has done a good job of marketing the multiwatt thing - it's so freaking amazing and usable

I remember talking to you about the amp and saying how perfect it sounds on paper for my needs, now you are sending me into GAS orbit dammit.

After I get moved I can record some clips for you ?

Man, I tried to go all digital a few years back and even sold all my amps to commit to it. I thought it would make me more productive and finish up some lingering projects because the results would be immediately repeatable. Boy did I just end up missing real amps!

If I could have kept the Kemper maybe making my own profiles would have been useful but all the commercial ones out there or anything on the registry never sounded or felt like anything I would have come up with using a real amp, mic, and cab. Plus I just ended up learning how much I just really enjoy the act of playing on real gear.

Maybe give making your own profiles of the Friedman a shot if you haven’t before.
I have axe ef and I just don’t like it when playing live , something fells not right. But practicing and recording I find uses

First amp I've had in almost two years. Been using a Kemper, which is fine, but I also wanted something traditional. Marshall 1960AX cab

I JUST traded a guy for a BE-100 and I’m going to pair it up with a 1960AX I just found. How do you like the combo? Does that cab work well with the BE?
