New amp for Axe-Fx Matrix GT800FX

Fell across this page and and a few vids. The guy did comparisons against a VHT 2/50/2. Seems like a cool amp and would like to give one a try. Think they go for $700. The VHT and 800FX were compared in a vid then the GT800FX version came out for a little more feel/Dynamics.

Yeah but it seems this guy has figured a way to get a SS amp with more of a tube feel.
Im really toying with just getting 2 Fractal active Wedges and stop using my RT2/50 then I saw this and thought about just getting the Passive Wedges and this amp but it works out to the same price either way. I like the feel of the Axe with the RT2/50 and wonder if it will be close to the same as the Fractal 50 watt amps in the Active Wedges?

Yeah I think the RT2/50 is right up there with the VHT at least close enough for me. Do you run the VHT into 2 passive Fractal cabs?

Rt250 is pretty cool but I don't jive with 50 waters, I crave the punch and hugeness of sound of the 100 watt sections. I use regular guitar cabs and speakers.

Since getting my twin jet i have been craving the 20th shiva! Loving the bogner tone hating the retarded yet versatile tone stack.

I'm thinking about getting the Axe, I would probably opt for the active wedges...it just seems more convenient.

Yeah I think I am going with the Atomic Active wedges. I just put this up for those looking for a SS backup or for a single space amp that was lighter than a tube amp with some "feel" to it.

Thats okay, I won't be getting the Axe Fx for a while anyways.
