Yup been on the Fractal Forums for a while.....I bet it will kill.....nice price point too....

I believe Rob of Tone Merchants has played one and said it was great...

What does that translate to in US dollars? I still want to try an Atomic with my Tonelab LE. I can't swing the jack for an Ultra yet.

The US sale price is $799. We expect to be shipping in mid Sept.

Well if the thing was a stereo 2X12 you would have had me thats for sure. Lets see, my Ultra has stereo left and right out and the Atomic has a mono input. I don't get it.

I think that you will need two of these to run stereo.....correct?

Stereo with a single cab is limited at best. Much better with two cabs with some separation, for example, one each side of the drummer. That is the rationale behind the decision to keep the atomic mono, and make people who really need stereo buy two. If 95% of customers don't need stereo why make them pay nearly double and make the cab twice as heavy?

On top of it, you get a discount if you buy two and another one if you already bought an axefx from them (at least in europe).

So this will work just fine with a Tonelab LE also then correct? I would assume yes but I have been bitten before by assuming things.

Yup. I run stereo now which is killer out of a Carvin TS-100 tube poweramp into a Marshall cab with 2X12 Celestion V-30s. I mic each speaker with 57's for large venues through our QSC PA system. Why do I do this and not go out direct to the PA from the Axe? Because I don't have room in the studio for two 18" QSC subs and two 15" QSC satellites to dial in my patches exactly how I want them to sound out of the PA. So I dial in my sounds in the studio through the 2X12 cab and mic it in stereo using two board channels panned left and right for bigger shows. Sounds great to me. If they made the Atomic in a stereo 2X12 version I could take the 25 pound Carvin amp outta my rack. Sure would be nice.

Your assumption, in this case, is correct. The Reactor FR sounds great with the ToneLab. I've already tried it.

Thing is to me at least is why would you purchase a high dollah tube power amp when you could just pick up a one(or a pair) of these and there you go?!!

Very cool...I look forward to trying it out.
I have a Tech21 Power Engine which works pretty fine on stage, but it could sound better.

should be stereo, at least have that option. I also ran a stereo setup from a 2x12 and it sounded killer. I understand that its optimal to have 2 enclosures, but I really dug having a setup in stereo, even though a single cab, sounded much more 3d.

 I still don't understand why people are so obsessed with stereo when it comes to poweramps and the new atomic for the axefx. Why don't people complain when 99.99% of tube heads and combos aren't stereo? It's expensive, heavy and few people actually use it (running the same signal to both channels doesn't count as stereo).

Besides, there's a tweeter in the axe-fx atomic reactor. No room for another cone. Want stereo? Buy two of them. You can even stack them or get them standing one next to the other, and won't break your back when getting them to the car.

Because part of the coolness for the axe-fx is running it stereo? :)

once you hear some of your efx in stereo, then you will understand, not to mention the axe fx has some way cool effects. Many effects actually are supposed to be in stereo, Chorus, flange, reverb, these all work within the stereo field, and why most people use post efx when mixing, so much more depth, I just happen to like recording live with my stereo efx. having mixed both mono and stereo versions of my rig, I can attest that the stereo recording was so much better.

All I know is that if I'm playing a Rush or a U2 tune rich in delay and chorus from the Ultra and I'm standing out in front of our QSC PA with my 2X12 Marshall stereo cab mic'd in stereo it sounds amazing. An extra SM57 mic is alot cheaper than a second Atomic amp thats for sure.
