I have a 1X12 open backed cab that I use with my Rebel 20 and I'm going to put a new Weber CV 123 in it. The old baffle had the speaker opening way off center to accommodate an amp chassis so I decided to make a new one. I love this cab and I can't wait to get the new speaker.

Gear porn at it's best. I wanna make serious love to that cabinet. Better than a playboy centerfold. Nice work man. If you're not in the cabinet building business, you need to consider switching professions. I'd pay good money for that cab. Gorgeous cab. Hope it screams like a porn star.

It does. I played it for about 20 minutes and then just walked around my shop in a daze for awhile. Wow.

Anyway, I could never compete with Egnater on anything that they make. Not even close. I made a copy of a Rebel 1x12 cab and I must have spent about $130 or more for all the materials, which is probably more than Egnater spends to have 'em made and shipped to the stores and everything. Same for the 4x12 cab that I made. I paid like $500.00 for just the materials, including the speakers. I ended up with a cabinet that's surely no better than the Egnater cab. But I did enjoy myself.

So my wife sees the Fedex truck coming up the driveway yesterday with my new custom made 12 inch Weber CV123. She's all over me right away.

"What's that?"
"A speaker."
"How much did that cost?"
"Eighteen dollars." :hys:
"Is that all?"
"Plus shipping."
"How much does a speaker cost anyway?"
"Eh... twenty bucks."
"Oh."

I really don't think you can go to hell for lying about guitar equipment.

Anyway, here's some more pix with the speaker installed:

Again man, Nice work. Love the picture with the gibby leanin' on it. Love the Fedex story. Glad to know I'm not the only one who does that, ;) My wife will come look at my pedal board every once in a while and make a comment like "when did you get that (insert name of new pedal here)." My reply is usually something to the tune of "oh' I've had it, I just wasn't usin' it that much"...you get the drift. The best one though was sneakin' in my new Rebel 30...had to do it when she was out of the house. Now the Rebel 20 that it replaced is sittin' beneath my desk at work...for now...wish I could keep em' both but gotta try and sell it before she checks the bank account, LOL. So far she hasn't noticed the slightly larger amp sittin' on the the top of my 2 1x12 cabs. Good thing they look so similar I guess.
