this video impresses me big time. thinking about sending dave an email to figure out what he did differently on this model and if this one comes in a 120W model. this particular B60 does not sound like the other vintage models he has, whatever he changed it sounds great

Everything Dave has done sounds excellent.

Also note that the camera angle/mic positioning is different, and that may be a big deal when it comes to the tone.

the apparent tone his amplifiers have, have not done much to catch my eye, they all do sound good but theres a certain character i dislike about them - i thought it was the power tubes being used but its more preamp voicing - i hear it in all of his videos.

this particular model though is different. not the same as others - he has done something different. what i normally hear is not there anymore.

there are many many many many other variables other than distance to the microphone. you would be here all day to point them all out. however the generalized recording that most if not all of his other models i can point out with all of the other videos has has uploaded, this one stands out and sounds great. nice vintage hot rodded tone with balance and bite

No, just found it while checking out the Baron site. I'm really considering a Baron again for my next amp. The B60/120 are Dave's take on an XTC with more clarity, articulation and gain. It covers the classic british tones, but can get heavy like an Uber.

dude you and me both. i may be considering a B120 model - i was considering a savage 120 and doing some "customizing" but these B60 models deliver some hellatious tone for the price and i love what i am hearing in the recordings

I would really like to know what Dave did to get that tone. It sounds really friggin awesome... To me it sounds like a killer 80's metal tone but a bit thicker than the normal 80's tone...

Actually Dave recommended me this amp...the B60 a couple months ago before I lost my job. If I was to order a Baron, it would be the B60. He told me that he gets some feedback from people that say it is a cross between a XTC and a Splawn...now that is loco!
