i personally messed with the fish back in the day and had a chance to buy it but opted for the triaxis instead.

i do like the way chris poland makes it sound though!

hope he does a killer demo of the thing!

Hey guys I have one fish left and will be getting a few more. Chris Poland has amazing tone. hes played tone merchants twice in the last few weeks and he has what I describe as a violin tone. very fluid. I hope he is able to make it tomorrow. Greg Howe was blown away by the fish when I played for him yesterday

And where exactly are you located :D

I'm fuckin' dyin' here. My days are being consumed by Fish.

I enjoy having a preamp/power amp rack set-up more than an a head. Easier to deal with. If you don't like your tone, change the preamp. Not enough power, change the power amp. :D

Very good description to say violin tone. That is spot on. Sorry I did not get to chat with you Rob. Only a tap on the glass. Chris Poland was F#%&$% awesome. I have to get in there this Saturday.

I own the last one made from the first run back in the day..It's a long story on how I got it,....someone overseas plugged it into 220v and blew her up!..Burned everything inside. The guy was literally throwing it into the dumpster and I had a buddy buy it off him as is, sent it to Reinhold and he refurbished it completly!!!!!.....Reinhold's the MAN!!!!!!!!!

I've never been big on racks but I bet the Fish and that 2150 kick some major ass...

+1 thats exactly how Id describe it. I dont know how much of that is the amp though. I think thats all in his hands, the way he bends and his vibrato specifically. Check out this clip from NAMM a few years ago. I was in the THD booth when this was filmed and was thinking violin all the way:
