I just use a piece of foam between the springs and the body, that way any spring is noiseless.

Nice score! Very classy! How do the distortions sound in the guitar? I've never played a distortion (SH6) surprisingly. My go to is always a custom SH5. Off topic but how would you compare the distortion to the SH5?
