So the pawn side of my friends shop took this is on loan thinking it was a real USA Charvel a while back and was foreclosed on last month. It made its way to the guitar shop and they sent me pics and within seconds told them it was fake. Pulled the neck and found a signature and did some investigating and actually found the builder on The Gear Page. Says he used all high quality parts (including a german Floyd) and after playing it I have to agree. Once they found out it was fake they didn't want to sell it so it sat in the locker and I finally told them this weekend I would take it if it was cheap enough. Well, it was cheap enough lol, Im pretty sure I could make my money back just by selling the floyd if I wanted to.

Got it home, cleaned it and set it up and man, thing plays on par if not better than most of the real deal Charvel Ive had. Dude did a great job of piecing it together. If I had to guess it looks like either All parts or musikraft neck and body, and the neck is great feeling with nice figuring on the back. Paint job was nicely done, albeit a little weird in the way it was done. Rather than doing a base white and then airbrushing the flames and doing a real pinstripe, the paint was layered each color and masked off to create the flames.

Either way, for what I paid for it I figured if i didn't end up liking it I could part if out and make my money back very easily, but it plays and sounds really good!

nice score. I parted together a bunch of Charvel replica/clones with top quality parts w/ Musikraft necks and outsourced the paint..not cheap when you do it right so it sounds like you got a smokin deal :)
