I just bought a new custom shop Frenchie and I love it but I don't see anything new coming from the custom shop.
Looks like there are alot of new Jacksons coming out. I really don't understand the relationship between Jackson and Charvel these days. I thought Fender bought Charvel many years ago. Did they buy Jackson also?
The Charvel I just bought came in a "jackson" box.

I got the Green Drab one and it plays and feels as well as any of my other guitars (Suhr, Caparison, PRS, etc...) to me. I guess the model is doing really well. It's not in this Andertons video, but another one I saw they have 2 USA versions of the same caramelized neck. Looks pretty cool to me, but it'd be hard for me to justify that when the MIM one is near perfect.

I've got the pink one and it is PHENOMENAL. Just a ridiculously good guitar. It smokes my Suhr modern satin and can literally hang with guitars I own that cost 3X as much. The neck is just incredible.

Hey, what is the new custom shop Frenchie? I have an ebony one and was wondering if that is the newest one? Love mine!!
As far as the Jackson and Charvel relationship, I thought Fender had both of them and EVH which would explain them all being there together. I think it is one of those things where Fender "owns" them but let's them do their thing and run independent for the most part.
That sucks about USA select series and you hearing bad things about them. I was wondering about those just recently but you don't hear about them much. They just seem kind of "blah". I'm not a huge fan of the colors and pickups but liked the HSS config.

My Frenchie has a maple board. I have never seen one with an ebony board

Man, this is insane!! The fact you guys can even put the DK24 in the same conversation with those guitars is saying alot about the quality of the DK24. Wow. I wonder what they are doing that is adding that extra edge? If the feel of the neck was the only great quality, that would be one thing, but you guys have to be loving the tones and the attention to detail, etc.
So great there are cheaper guitars out there that can hang with the expensive ones. Not everyone can afford those higher end ones so such a bonus.
stratjacket":3bstqpdt said:Well I hate to hype it up too much, don't mean to. It's just a simple and solid guitar, feels well built and fun to play. Feels more than $900 for sure. I don't know if I got a great one or what, I assume they're all similar in build and quality.

Sorry man, I meant ebony color. I should have said "black". Yeah, I have maple board as well. I can't even imagine rosewood on this guitar because the maple board is just perfect.
