Thanks again guys. The price on it was $2280. I am not sure why they take so long to build. I never changed any of the specs while in process so that speed me up a bit compared to longer wait times for folks.

Short of calling Curt, which I'm not gonna do cos' I'm in Asia, how do I contact him?

I checked out the Squid Music website but it doesn't have an email.

If you guys want a CS Charvel then check out Squid Music. Curt knows more about Charvels than Charvel. Thanks Curt for your help.

This is probably true

Great guitar! Congrats. :)

thats right...its actually almost 4 years...I just had pics sent to me of my charvel in post production, final assembly.I'll probably never do an order like that again because of such insane wait times, but I know some Suhr,Fender, and Jackson guys thats had darn near just as long of waits..seems crazy,..but no worries, im finally getting mine too.

So F'n classy and cool!! I tried to order a CS Charvel but my dealer told me the wait was two years so I said forget it.

They are quoting 18 months right now.

That looks bloody SWEET!!!!!!!!

But 15 months to wait for such a simple guitar?????? What takes them so long?

Also, if you don't mind saying, how much did you pay for that?

What takes them so long is that there are 600 people in line ahead of you for Charvel Jackson custom shop builds. I don't think anyone really realizes how small that custom shop is. If you order a Custom Shop Charvel, Red Dave is going to build it for you. If you order a Custom Shop Jackson, Mike Shannon or Pablo Sanchez are going to build it for you. People think it is some big corporate factory with robots cranking stuff out. A Charvel Custom Shop guitar is built by Red Dave. That's one guy and all he has been doing for the last 25-30 years is building Charvel and Jackson Custom Shop guitars!!!! Now he doesn't do the paint himself or wiring or final assembly, but he hand selects the wood and sees to all the specs on the body and neck and builds those to be as comfortable and playable as anything I have ever touched.

That guy has been known to spend too much time on all the guitar forums and Facebook. ;)

Great looking axe. Love that color with a maple neck. It's not a EVH exclusive though, it's a standard PPG color Fender has been using forever.

I don't know if I have ever seen this color on a new Fender. If you see it in person, you can tell it's different than what they have always used for vintage white or aged white Fender guitars. It's semi-close to some of the historic Tele colors. This is almost more the color that a cream Les Paul Custom turns after 25 years and is what they are using on the Wolfgang. I'm sure it's not exclusive to that guitar and tomorrow they could paint 5,000 strats in this color, but if you were to hold an aged, or vintage white strat next to this, it is a different shade. I was going through the PPG samples when I was at the Custom Shop one day and kept saying "no, more like an old Les Paul Custom, like Randy Rhoads' Les Paul" and Chip Ellis showed me the EVH in that color and we were done searching paint samples. One of them told me to specify Vintage White "Magna" brand and not vintage white PPG.

I have to tell you it was pretty mind numbing trying to find the right shade of off white, but I had an early customer describe what he wanted and when he saw it on his guitar, he loved it. Quinn saw that one and said he wanted exactly the same.

The set-up on this guitar right out of the case was fantastic. I just feel that neck for three seconds and I just go, "yeah, Charvel Custom Shop"
