Yeah, yeah, I know it's Def Leppard...but ya know what, I'm having fun with it. It's a throw back to the 80s with a little bit of a new feel. I'll be blasting it while driving...  :D

I think it's their best work since Hysteria. I've been jamming it in my truck for about a month now. The guitar tones are very tasty.

those marshall JMP's are badass! I'll admit it I am a fan hell I've even made it a point to see the vh1 movie (blushing)! Phil Collen Has always had stellar tone in my book. Seems to me collin and cambell work out vey well!

I downloaded it via torrent. Ugh. No thanks. I love Hysteria, Slang, and their first two albums. One of my favorite bands ever but this new one is crap, IMO. :aww:

I still remember getting High And Dry the day it came out. Epic.

Oh my...where's the love...

Not there best, but like I said...I'm having fun with it. :D

I didn't even know they had one out. I'll have to pick it up.

Umm, those aren't JMPs (at least not Collen). I'm pretty sure Viv is all Voodoo preamps.

Haven't really found much to like about 'em since Steve Clark died....the one after Hysteria was OK...some good driving songs..but shows too much how average it is, given that I can't remember the title...Adrenalize maybe ? :(

I feel Hysteria was their last good album. This is another Queensryche. I have come to not even look into anything these bands do. The Music just sucks, but if you guys say it's pretty good, i will have to check it out. I would like them to put out something worth listening to.

I thought Trace at Voodoo mentioned they both used a Vplex on some tracks.

I like it. It's great melodic rock. But then again, I was a teen in the 80's so that should explain it to you younger drop C'ers.

High & Dry is still one of my favorite releases ever  I went to see them a couple times last year, it's too bad they butchered all those good old tunes with that mega-Hysteria processed tone.
Yeah, it's too bad. I was upset when Pyromania came out and it became hip to like Def Leppard. I finally came to accept their new sound with Hysteria and saw them play in San Francisco in November '87. Great show- more chicks than dudes.

Still wish the Def Leppard of High And Dry were still around, though. :aww:

 I still remember getting "On Through The Night" when it first came out... That was killer too, but had a much less polished mix... Pete Willis rules!

Went to see them last week over here in the uk..whitesnake were the supporting band..

it should have been the other way round..leppard totally sucked.. i was really surprised by this.

..whitesnake totally ruled the evening..absolutely awesome..doug and reb ripped it up like never before..outstanding set..

i was soooo looking forward to leppard as i quite like a couple of the new songs from the album.

just a shame they didnt cut it live.. totally dissapointed

It's a pretty good disk. I've got it in the car. Not their best work by a long shot, but waaaay better than most of the garbage that new bands are releasing now a days. It's in rotation along with the new Crue.
